transportation woes

the customer satisfaction index is showing that commuters are rating our public transport more poorly. they are still finding the buses and trains way too crowded, adding onto the recent fare adjustment which garnered more boos than yays.

we are at the mercy of transportation providers. i don't see much significance in have an index like that. so what even if we voted satisfaction down? what can we do if the providers choose not to do anything about it? we are so dependent on it and there is no direct substitute.

i wish i could be less reliant on public transport because i don't want to be at the mercy of it. just like how i thought we were reliant on 1 person to provide us with the training programme. he could give us crap, but we would still have to bear with it.

depend on no one but yourself.

how about biking to work as a viable alternative? for that, we are at the mercy of weather only.
